COMPARISON
Ancient Maya and Persia religions were both very much in touch with nature and the elements of the world respecting and caring for them. The Persians prayed on top of a mountain called Mount Elburg which was believed to be the holy mountain in which there souls ascended into the sky, they would pray there a couple times a day and be thankful for everything they have. Mayans however would pray more often because it was a big part of there lives to pray so there is a difference in praying times. The Mayans in which believed in the afterlife and Persians believed that souls ascended into heaven from there holy mountain, so they both believed in the afterlife. Persia had lots of gods like ATAR the god of fire, VERETHRAGNA the god of war, ZURVAN AKARANA the god of time and many others. Mayans worshipped gods like the SUN, RAIN and CORN, the Mayans had more religious ceremonies then the Persians. So both of these civilisations were strongly connected with religion and praying.
